Mascelli in his book, “The Five C’s of Cinematography: S Air force to work primarily as a civilian cinematographer and director, where he became the first cameraman to shoot aerial footage of the first H-Bomb test at Bikini Atoll, as part of Operation Crossroads. In Spiderman 2this dramatic up-shot signals the arrival of the hero, descending from the heavens to save the people. Closeups are detailed shots of a subject.
Or at least be ready to refer back to them, like I do often, with books like his and those of many others. Helpful, with plenty of stills as examples but very dated. Good for fiive days you need a reminder of the basics of cinematic storytelling. Composition refers to how images in a shot are arranged and organized.
Buy this book, spend some time over it and enter into a world of totally different perspective when you see your camera again. Motion Picture Filming Techniquesare fundamental concepts essential to filmmaking. You need to know the rule in order to break the rule.

For any filmmakers, I strongly recommend this book! In other words, composition is the visual order of a shot.

I’ve learnt to appreciate how important it is to create depth within the two-dimensional frame, so as to create a three-dimensional illusion on the screen. High-angle shots look down on a subject. It’s great book which can make you better. At first I was thrown off by the overlapping ideas of the 5 c’s it should be 4 c’s, I think at this point but its turning out to be very informative.
